Plans are in place to improve the areas around four springs in the Minsk region

The areas surrounding four natural springs are planned to be improved in the Minsk Region by the end of the year. This was reported to BELTA by the Minsk Regional Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

Improvement work on spring areas is continuing in the Minsk Region. Last year, work at such sites was carried out in the Dzerzhinsk, Nesvizh, Uzda, Soligorsk, Cherven, and Kopyl districts. A spring was cleaned and the adjacent area was improved in the village of Ponacha in the Kletsk District.

The national action plan for the Year of Improvement included a spring in the village of Kaplantsy in the Berezino District, with the construction of steps, a gazebo with a plunge pool, and the installation of benches and decking.

In 2026, four springs will be upgraded. Around 80,000 rubles have been allocated from the regional budget.

“One such site is located in the city park of Logoysk. The spring is a hydrological natural monument. Improvement work is also planned for a spring in Maryina Gorka, on Naberezhnaya Street in the Pukhovichi District. Two more such sites are located in the Smolevichi District, near the villages of Kovalevshchina and Lyutka,” the committee said.

As previously reported, the Minsk Regional Council of Deputies decided to support citizens’ initiatives to improve local springs. In 2027, funding is planned for public-private partnership projects related to upgrading such sites, which are also tourist attractions.
