The first harvesters to reach the 1,000-tonne milestone have been identified in the Minsk region
The first “thousanders” of this year’s harvest season have been identified in the Minsk Region. This was reported to BELTA by the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.
Pavel Shutilo became the first combine operator in the Minsk Region to harvest 1,000 tonnes, while Vitaly Kishko became the first driver to transport 1,000 tonnes. Both work at Kukchitsy OJSC in the Kletsk District.
“Despite the changeable weather, agricultural workers in the Minsk Region have reached a higher harvesting pace than last year. More than 70,000 tonnes of winter barley have been harvested at a yield of 54 centners per hectare, 77,000 tonnes of hay have been prepared, and flax has been pulled from around 600 hectares,” the Minsk Regional Executive Committee noted.
