Lukashenko and Putin discussed cooperation within the Belarus-Russia-DPRK triangle

During a telephone conversation, the Presidents of Belarus and Russia, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, discussed cooperation in the Belarus–Russia–DPRK trilateral format. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The Presidents focused on cooperation in the Belarus–Russia–DPRK trilateral format. Following the official visit of the President of Belarus to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, a range of promising areas for cooperation was identified. Today’s conversation discussed the possibility of implementing several projects in a trilateral format,” the press service stated.

As reported by BELTA, Alexander Lukashenko and Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, held official talks in Pyongyang on March 26 and announced the beginning of a new stage in relations between the two countries. Following the talks, a Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Belarus and the DPRK was signed. Overall, the parties concluded around ten agreements and memoranda on cooperation in specific areas.
