The "Train of Victory" to visit Belarus for the fifth time: when the museum train will run on the Belarusian Railway

The “Victory Train,” which will visit Belarus for the fifth time, will travel on the Belarusian Railway from June 21 to July 5, BELTA was told by the press centre of the Belarusian Railway.

In the year marking the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the “Victory Train” will arrive in Brest on June 21, on the eve of the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People. The exhibition will be open in Mogilev on June 28, the Day of the City’s Liberation from the Nazi Invaders. The train’s route will conclude in Minsk during the celebrations of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

The “Victory Train” is the world’s first interactive exhibition with a maximum immersion effect, dedicated to the heroism and feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War. It preserves the memory of those who courageously and steadfastly defended their homeland without sparing their strength and gave us peaceful skies overhead. During the 15 days that the “Victory Train” is in Belarus, residents of seven cities — Brest, Baranovichi, Grodno, Gomel, Mogilev, Vitebsk, and Minsk — will be able to see the exhibition. Its route has been planned with due regard to the country’s significant and commemorative dates.

The “Victory Train” was created in Russia by the Nevsky Batalist creative workshop team together with the Red Square media group, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Russian Railways, and the All-Russian public movement “Victory Volunteers.”

In Belarus, the project is implemented by the Belarusian Railway jointly with Russian Railways, with the support of the Presidential Administration and the active assistance of the Republican Volunteer Centre. It has generated great interest and received high praise from residents of the country. More than 137,000 people have visited the exhibition during the period it has been displayed.

The exhibition comprises 10 themed carriages, each representing a separate chapter in the chronicle of wartime events, from the beginning of the war to the Great Victory. Historical reality is recreated through modern technologies, including multimedia accompaniment and lighting and sound effects.

Under the exhibition viewing procedure, tours are conducted with an audio guide. No more than 12 people may be in one carriage at a time. The total duration of the tour is 45 minutes.

Due to the limited capacity of the mobile museum, visits will be available only to organised groups of regional residents holding free invitation tickets distributed by regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee. Everyone else can take a virtual tour of the museum exhibition on the project website.

The “Victory Train” project is social in nature in both Russia and Belarus.
